Terms of use
Last updated 25 October 2026
Draft: this text is still being reviewed and may change before launch.
These terms apply when you use the ChargeRep app on iPhone, Apple Watch or Mac and the website chargerep.com. ChargeRep is made by Neurova AI, owned by Andreas Chitos, Heideveldstraat 6, 5643 CH Eindhoven, the Netherlands, KvK 94328900 (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our privacy policy.
1. What ChargeRep is
ChargeRep reminds you to take short movement breaks during your workday, gives you a training plan matched to your goal and helps you log what you eat, including from a photo. Some features are free; others need a Premium subscription (section 7).
2. Who can use it
You must be 16 or older. If you are 16 or 17, ChargeRep sets your targets to keep your current weight and diet pace is not available. You may use ChargeRep for your own, non-commercial use.
3. A wellness app, not medical advice
ChargeRep supports a healthy routine. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any illness. Targets, plans, trends and estimates are general guidance, not medical advice, and are no substitute for a doctor, dietitian or physiotherapist.
Talk to your doctor before you start a new exercise routine or make big changes to what you eat, especially if you are pregnant, have a health condition, take medication or had an eating disorder. Blood pressure and glucose readings in the app are shown as trends, not interpreted. If a reading worries you, contact a doctor. In an emergency, call 112 or your local emergency number.
4. Exercise safely
You exercise at your own risk and are responsible for doing the movements in a safe place with suitable equipment. Answer the safety check honestly; any “yes” starts you gently. Stop at once if you feel pain, dizziness, chest pain or shortness of breath, and seek medical help if it does not pass.
5. Food values and AI estimates
Calories and nutrients come from food databases and are estimates; portions from a photo are estimates too. When you allow cloud help, Anthropic’s Claude model suggests which foods are in a photo and roughly how much, and you confirm or change them. Check the values before you rely on them, especially for allergies or a medical diet.
6. Your account
You can use ChargeRep without an account. If you sign in with Apple, keep your Apple ID secure; what happens under your account is your responsibility. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Privacy → Delete account and data. Deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription; you cancel that with Apple (section 7).
7. Premium subscriptions
What you get. Premium unlocks the features listed on the paywall at the time you subscribe, such as photo food logging, the full plan library and the Apple Watch app. Features shown as “Coming soon” are not part of what you buy until they ship.
Price and payment. Premium costs €3.99 a month or €29.99 a year in the euro countries, including VAT; prices in other countries are shown in the App Store. Apple charges the payment to your Apple ID, under Apple’s terms.
Free trial. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial if you have not had one before. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it turns into a paid yearly subscription and Apple charges you when the trial ends. The app reminds you 2 days before.
Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then current price, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
Cancelling. Cancel at any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription in the app). Premium stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
Refunds and withdrawal. Apple handles payments, refunds and the EU right of withdrawal under its own terms. You can ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot refund App Store purchases ourselves.
Price changes. If the price goes up, Apple tells you in advance and, where the law or Apple’s rules require it, asks for your agreement before your subscription renews at the new price.
Restore. Settings → Restore purchases brings Premium back on a new device with the same Apple ID.
8. Fair use
Free users can try 3 cloud photo scans. Premium includes up to 15 cloud scans a day; on-device recognition, search, barcodes and label scans have no limit. We may limit use that is clearly automated or abusive.
9. Your data and content
What you enter stays yours. You allow us to process it only to provide ChargeRep to you, as described in the privacy policy. You can export it at any time (Settings → Privacy → Export my data).
10. Using ChargeRep fairly
Do not misuse ChargeRep: no attempts to break or overload it, to reach other people’s data, to copy or resell the app or its content, or to get around Premium or its limits. Do not upload photos that you have no right to use or that are unlawful.
11. Our content
The app, its design, plans, exercise photos and videos, texts and the ChargeRep name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only inside the app for your own use.
12. Data and services from others
Food data comes partly from Open Food Facts (available under the Open Database License; product images under CC BY-SA), NEVO (RIVM, the Netherlands) and USDA FoodData Central; the app lists these sources in Settings. Apple Health, Sign in with Apple and the App Store are Apple’s services and follow Apple’s terms.
13. Availability and changes
We work to keep ChargeRep available and correct, but we cannot promise that it will always work without interruption or errors. We may update, change or remove features, for example to improve them or to follow the law. If we remove a feature that is central to Premium, we tell you in advance, and you can cancel. If we stop ChargeRep altogether, we tell you at least 30 days before and give you time to export your data.
14. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law of your country, or our liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury where the law does not allow a limit.
Otherwise, we are liable only for foreseeable direct damage caused by our breach of these terms, up to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the damage, or €50 if that is more. We are not liable for damage that comes from following targets, plans or estimates against medical advice, from not following section 4, or from services of others such as Apple.
15. Apple’s terms
These terms apply between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for ChargeRep or its content.
- Licence. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as the App Store’s Usage Rules allow.
- Support. We alone provide maintenance and support for the app (chargerep.com/help). Apple has no obligation to do so.
- Warranty. If the app does not meet a warranty that applies by law, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app; any other claims, losses or costs from such a failure are ours to handle, as far as these terms make us responsible.
- Claims. We, not Apple, handle any claims about the app, including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- Intellectual property. If someone claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
- Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and that you are not on a US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Others’ terms. When you use the app you must also follow the terms of the services it relies on, such as your mobile network.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.
16. Ending
You can stop using ChargeRep at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, after a warning where reasonable. Sections 3, 5, 11, 14 and 18 still apply after the end.
17. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We update the date at the top and, for changes that matter to you, tell you in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can stop using ChargeRep and cancel Premium before then.
18. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies, but this does not take away the protection that the law of your country of residence gives you as a consumer. If you have a complaint, write to us first; we answer within 14 days. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, or to the court where you live if you are a consumer and the law gives you that choice.
19. The website
You may use chargerep.com to learn about ChargeRep, join the waitlist and contact us. The website and its content belong to us; you may not copy them for commercial use. The waitlist creates no obligation for either side.
